THE DOOBIE BROTHERS 50th ANNIVERSAY TOUR 2020
The Doobie Brothers will unite with former front man Michael McDonald for a 2020 North American tour celebrating the band´s 50th anniversary.
The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band that originated in San Jose, California in the 1970's. The group has been active for nearly five decades and have sold over 40 million albums worldwide.
From 1970-1975 the band featured lead vocalist Tom Johnston with elements of rock and roll, folk, country, and R&B. Johnston quit the group in 1975, and was replaced by Michael McDonald. McDonald's interest included the soul sound and that changed the band's sound until they broke up in 1982. In 1987, the band reformed with Johnston as their lead singer and McDonald made several guest appearances. In 2019, McDonald reunited with the band full- time and is preparing for the upcoming 50th Anniversary tour.
